John Allen joins Seriun’s Service Desk

Leaving his role in education, John Allen pursues his passion for technology starting as IT Engineer at Seriun.

Originally from Church, John now lives in Clayton Le Moors with his wife Kathryn and two children, Harry and Emily.

John’s previous qualifications include a BS Hons in Primary and Secondary Education from Edge Hill University.

Before joining Seriun John worked at Hyndburn Park Primary School for five years as First Line Onsite Technician. In the previous seven years he fulfilled similar roles at St Augustine’s RC High and Accrington Academy.

His new role at Seriun involves supporting customer’s IT infrastructure remotely. His goal is to move up to 2nd-3rd line in the future. John really enjoys helping people and his new job offers him the opportunity to work with a wide variety of customers.

Outside of work John spends much of his free time with his family. He also enjoys walking, cycling, baking and cooking. His favourite place to visit is Scotland, especially the Highlands and Rogie Falls.
