With a strong passion for technology and extensive hands-on experience, Owen is making a big impact by helping clients solve their most challenging tech issues. already assisting clients with day-to-day IT issues and tackling more complex technical challenges.
Meet Owen Carey
Originally from Leigh, Owen moved to Bolton before very recently moving to Colne, much closer to Seriun Head Office. Owen began his IT career as an Apprentice at Telesis (Firstcom Europe), where he quickly progressed to a 2nd Line Engineer position at a local IT firm. Although he once considered becoming a firefighter, Owen ultimately chose IT for the constant opportunities it offers to learn and solve new problems. “IT just grabs my interest,” he says. “There’s always something new to learn or a different challenge to tackle.”
Outside of work, Owen enjoys exploring woodland trails with his partner, Lara, searching for unique items in antique shops, and visiting historical landmarks. His favourite so far is Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate – a powerful symbol of resilience and unity.
Focused on Growth and Learning
Owen is committed to expanding his expertise, with his sights set on achieving an Azure Solutions Architect certification, along with deepening his knowledge of AWS and Azure platforms. His drive for growth aligns well with Seriun’s commitment to continuous professional development.
Owen’s Role at Seriun
As a 3rd Line Engineer, Owen is the team’s specialist for resolving escalated technical issues. He collaborates closely with the 1st and 2nd line teams, ensuring complex problems are resolved quickly and efficiently.
